Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Positive Behaviour Support Coach, a brand new role at The Edmund Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide both direct support and on-the-job coaching for teams, to develop skills and knowledge and ensure effective implementation of Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Ensure delivery of strength based, person centred support.
  • Work under the guidance of the Positive Behaviour Support Manager to develop Positive Behaviour Support Plans that promote skill development and reduce/ eliminate restrictive practice.
  • Facilitate PROACT SCIPr UK Training to all teams across the organisation.
  • Support and report into the Positive Behaviour Support Manager.
Requirements
  • Has high level experience directly supporting people with learning disabilities and/or Autism who have complex needs.
  • Is confident and knowledgeable in taking the lead role in supporting people and guiding through difficult situations.
  • Has a high level of empathy, patience and understanding.
  • Has a working knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (essential).
  • Has a willingness to develop assessment and problem-solving skills.
  • Has great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Has the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Has strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Has the commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of individuals being supported.
  • Has the capability to handle physically and emotionally demanding situations with support.
