Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Obscurant Recruitment Solutions Ltd. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve quality issues: You will investigate and identify the root cause of quality problems, recommend solutions, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and maintain quality systems: You will create and manage high-value customer documentation packs, ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001, and conduct internal audits to verify compliance.
- Support quality initiatives: You will support the quality assurance team with continuous improvement activities to reduce the cost of poor quality and investigate issues raised by the shop floor.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: You will work closely with the customer services team to resolve customer complaints and raise corrective action reports as needed.
Requirements:
- ISO9001 Lead Assessor qualification: You must have experience in conducting internal audits and have a strong understanding of quality management systems.
- Effective communication skills: You must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, including with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Problem-solving skills: You must be able to use problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, Ishikawa, and 5 Whys to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Technical skills: You must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have a strong attention to detail.
Desirable Skills:
- ISO14001, ISO45001, ASME 'N' & 'NPT', PED, ATEX, and Functional Safety: Knowledge of these standards and regulations would be advantageous.
- APQP related elements: Experience with PPAP, Control Plans, DFMEA, PFMEA, and other APQP related elements would be beneficial.
- Mechanical Engineering background: A background in mechanical engineering would be an asset.
- NDE testing: Knowledge of NDE testing and PCN Level 2 qualification would be desirable.
