Data Engineer Role at Snap Analytics

Snap Analytics is a customer-focused data analytics consultancy that works with organisations across various sectors to help them achieve their strategic ambitions using cloud analytics solutions.

This is a hybrid role, combining working from home with the utilisation of our offices in central Bristol. The position will develop and enhance your technical and client-facing skills, allowing you to explore various technologies within analytics, including ETL, Modern Cloud Data Platforms, BI, and ML/AI tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilise and further develop core analytics competencies across the full spectrum of analytics – from data integration, data modelling, dashboard creation, and data science.
  • Build data pipelines using Matillion.
  • Develop demo content and proof of concepts (PoCs) for client engagements based on briefs from the Delivery Lead.
  • Understand and work comfortably with various data models, including Kimball and Data Vault.
  • Deliver compelling data visualisation solutions to end users.
  • Provide documentation on new technologies to be used for training other staff members.
  • 2+ years of experience with data integration and visualisation tools.
  • 2+ years of experience in data warehousing and database concepts.
  • Experience with Kimball dimensional modelling and designing and implementing Kimball dimensional star schema data models.
  • Python and/or other programming languages.
  • Data science and machine learning.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about data analytics and want to develop their skills in a dynamic and customer-focused environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 3 years of experience working with data, along with proven experience in areas such as ETL tools, SQL code, data modelling, data warehousing, and cloud data platforms.
