Job Title: Senior / Project Scientist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Project Scientist to join our team at Abercorn Sinclair. As a key member of our Research and Development department, you will be responsible for leading the development, optimization, and validation of analytical techniques for our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement analytical methods for product testing and quality control
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to scope, design, and deliver technical projects
  • Present and formally report experimental conclusions and supporting data for internal peer review
  • Disseminate protocols and train colleagues to carry out novel assays
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous capability development through coaching, mentoring, and developing colleagues

Requirements:

  • PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in analytical development and method troubleshooting
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with DataApex Clarity chromatography software
  • Experience in line management, training, and supervision of technical staff
  • Knowledge of basic cell and molecular biology techniques and working understanding of aerobic fermentation
