Job Title: Digital Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Engineering Specialist to join our team at Edge Careers. As a key member of our digital engineering team, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and excellence in digital engineering practices.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading company in the construction industry, where you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our digital engineering team. You will work closely with our Lead Digital Engineer to achieve BIM Kitemark accreditation and manage the digital collaboration platform at regional level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Lead Digital Engineer in achieving BIM Kitemark accreditation and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage and maintain the digital collaboration platform at regional level, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Provide training and guidance to Digital Engineers in their day-to-day job, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Develop and maintain standard BIM guidance documents and templates, ensuring consistency and best practices across the organization.
  • Promote the use of digital engineering technologies and tools, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions to drive business benefits.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital engineering technologies and tools, ensuring our team has the necessary expertise to drive innovation and excellence.
  • Identify and propose business benefits from the use of digital engineering technologies, ensuring our organization remains competitive and ahead of the curve.
  • Support the Pre-construction team in defining project digital strategies, ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Communicate updates to the regional team on digital engineering procedures and plans, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.
  • Manage the procurement and application of approved software, ensuring our team has the necessary tools to excel in their roles.
  • Develop the competencies of the design and construction team in the use of BIM software, ensuring they have the necessary skills to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Develop the application and use of 4D and 5D BIM, ensuring our team has the necessary expertise to drive innovation and excellence.
  • Establish and control BIM assessment data for subcontract designers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Conduct quality assurance audits on third-party BIM and notify project teams of non-compliances, ensuring our projects are delivered to the required quality standards.
  • Provide regular management reports on projects using digital engineering technologies, ensuring our team has the necessary insights to drive business benefits.
Requirements:
  • BSc/HND/HNC in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of ISO standards, BS 1192-4:2014, and ISO19650:5.
  • Working knowledge of Viewpoint for Projects.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk software (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage).
