About the Role

As our new Head of Data, you will play a crucial role in shaping iVendi's data journey. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will actively contribute to data productisation efforts, working closely with teams across the business to unlock actionable insights, inform strategic decisions, and drive value from our data.

Main Responsibilities

  • Data Strategy and Productisation:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy to support internal and external data productisation.
    • Oversee the creation of data products that align with business objectives, providing insights that support commercial and strategic initiatives.
    • Drive cross-functional data initiatives, setting the roadmap for the data team as we grow.
  • Data Analysis and Insights:
    • Analyze large datasets to derive insights that inform critical business decisions across teams.
    • Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders, turning complex data into actionable, impactful recommendations.
  • Team Building and Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, product managers, and analysts, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and tools to succeed.
    • Work collaboratively to foster a data-driven culture within iVendi, with an emphasis on distributing data insights across the organisation.
  • Data Management and Governance:
    • Establish data governance practices to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security.
    • Collaborate closely with IT and Data Engineering to streamline data collection, processing, and storage solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in data strategy, data productisation, and leading data-driven transformations.
  • Advanced skills in SQL, Excel, and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and data modelling skills.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to translate data insights into business value.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to make complex data accessible to all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing high-performing data teams in a product-driven environment.
