Job Description
A SEND teaching assistant is required for a full-time position in a thriving and aspirational Leicestershire-based alternate provision. The ideal candidate will be kind, caring, and experienced in working with children with special educational needs.

The successful applicant will provide support to students with SEND, utilizing their NVQ Level 3 qualification in education and experience working with challenging behavior and emotional disorders. They will work one-on-one with students, applying their expertise gained from previous experience as a learning support assistant. Maintaining open communication with teachers, parents, and colleagues is essential to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with SEND, utilizing NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Education and experience working with challenging behavior and emotional disorders.
  • Work one-on-one with students, applying expertise gained from previous experience as a learning support assistant.
  • Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.

Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Education
  • Experience working with Challenging Behaviour and Emotional Behavioural Disorders
  • Previous experience working as a learning support assistant
  • Driving License (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Patience and compassion

Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
