Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team at the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health and safety across our multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  2. Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures.
  3. Provide training and support to staff and students on health and safety matters.
Requirements:
  • A recognized occupational safety and health certification (e.g., MIOSH).
  • Relevant education (e.g., NVQ level 4 or higher) and/or equivalent experience.
  • Proven expertise in areas such as fire safety, radiation protection, and workshops.
