Job Overview:

Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Controlling Manager to join our team in Airbus Defence and Space Limited. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the budget and hourly rate process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and providing essential Controlling support to our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the budget and hourly rate process, including budgetary control, timesheet recording, capex reporting, internal controls, and recovery management.
  • Prepare and optimize hourly rates in preparation for negotiation with external price audit customers, including UK MOD and ESA (European Space agency).
  • Act as an interface between technical accounting and Functional/PL finance, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Deliver Controlling support to designated areas, including budget management and associated business partnering.
  • Manage and develop a team of 8 professionals across two sites, in line with Airbus Values.

About the Role:

  • Possess extensive experience in Cost Accounting and Price Auditing.
  • Strong leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing teams and driving performance.
  • Proficiency in SAP is essential, with experience in managing internal and external stakeholders.
