About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Protection Manager to join our team at Data Privacy Recruitment Ltd. As a Data Protection Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the Charity's activities are aligned with privacy legislation, regulation, and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist advice and recommendations on data protection topics, including data rights requests, data processing activities, data breach management, and data sharing.
- Create and maintain documentation to evidence legal and regulatory compliance, including registrations with the Information Commissioners Office.
- Identify and address areas where the organisation needs to review strategy, policy, or procedure, leading on the development and delivery of colleague awareness and training.
- Lead on data privacy aspects of improvement initiatives and developments across the Charity, collaborating with peers and colleagues on Data Protection Impact Assessments, Legitimate Interest Balance Tests, and associated risk assessments.
- Process and respond to requests from individuals exercising their rights under data protection legislation, including access to personal information, objections to direct marketing, erasure requests, and requests through the Fundraising Preference Service.
- Produce compliance reports on data privacy and governance matters for the Charity Board and Governance, Reputation, and Risk Committee.
