About the RoleThis full-time position involves working as a Consultant Psychiatrist and providing diagnostic assessments and treatment to patients with complex psychiatric conditions. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides care to residents of Welwyn Garden City and surrounding areas.
The role requires you to work collaboratively with local managers and professional colleagues to ensure the efficient running of services. You will also participate in service and business planning activities, attend academic programs, and maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council.
Key Responsibilities- To manage, appraise, and give professional supervision to Specialty Doctors and junior medical staff.
- To ensure that junior medical staff operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant.
- To participate in outpatient clinics, home visits, and multidisciplinary case discussions.
- To liaise effectively with primary care and mainstream mental health services.
We offer a competitive salary of £105,504 - £139,882 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, a comprehensive pension scheme, and a supportive work environment.
