About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Media Performance Architect to join our dynamic team at Apple. As a key member of our Architecture group, you will collaborate with engineers across the company to design and develop high-performance media systems for our products.

Key Responsibilities

As a Media Performance Architect, you will be responsible for developing, verifying, and using performance models for data-driven architectural exploration and validation. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and validate high-level performance models in C++. You will also be responsible for developing custom tools for analyzing simulation results of complex architectures and presenting performance study results to design teams and other architecture teams.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong understanding of SoC, fabric, and memory system architectures, as well as strong software development and organizational skills. You will also need proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and shell scripting, as well as experience with performance model development and analysis. Additionally, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and presentations.

Education and Experience

We are looking for candidates with a MS/PhD in EE/CS/CE and 5+ years of experience in performance modeling and architecture.
