This manufacturer is seeking an electrical maintenance engineer who is not just reliable and willing to work hard, but who has a continuous improvement mindset to work with the leadership team as they drive forward to become a world-class engineering environment.

In this role, you will work as part of a maintenance team to support 24/7 production, maintaining and repairing plant, equipment, and buildings while striving to meet company objectives in terms of safety, efficiency, and utilisation of production equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Electrical breakdown repairs across the site.
  • Maintaining high safety standards at all times.
  • Implementing planned maintenance and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of production plant.
  • Delivering cost-effective and reliable maintenance of all site utility services.
  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing continuous improvements and any energy-saving initiatives to the plant.
  • Maintaining appropriate systems, checks, procedures, records, and tests to meet site requirements.
  • Assisting in the management of spare parts stock level availability.
  • Working with production and technical areas to assist in troubleshooting processing problems.
  • Assisting with the training and instruction of operatives.
  • Working on CI projects as required.

Requirements include:

  • Fully apprenticeship-trained with Level 3 engineering qualifications.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of fault finding and repair plus installation work.
  • Experienced with PLC and SCADA systems.
  • Able to understand technical drawings.
  • IT literate.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
