What to Expect:

Join our Engineering team at Halewood and take on the challenge of managing the installation of new model facilities throughout the final assembly area. As a key contributor to the Trim & Final team, you'll provide engineering support as an electrical/mechanical engineer, working with current and future car lines to maximize production efficiencies, maintain plant equipment, and respond to requests/issues with equipment/processes.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient production performance within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and Environment framework.
  • Analyze facility data to investigate and improve performance and efficiency throughout the production system, integrating closely with other manufacturing departments.
  • Provide technical expertise to team problem-solving activities to accurately identify root cause, corrective, and preventative actions.
  • Investigate and present engineering solutions to senior management.
  • Support senior management reviews to report on facility status and projects.
What You'll Need:
  • Technical engineering skills gained within the manufacturing industry, with a focus on mechanical/electrical/software engineering.
  • Detailed knowledge of automation systems, including robot cells, overhead/floor conveyors, AGVs, glazing facilities, high-speed cranes, fluid fill equipment, and bespoke automation systems.
  • Experience in applying a logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent organizational skills for working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
