Ground Technology Services are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to provide comprehensive site surveying, ground investigation, and laboratory testing services across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to manage ground investigation contracts, ensuring site works, monitoring, lab testing, and reporting meet the company's obligations safely, to the correct quality, and agreed timescales.
- Develop strong relationships with clients through effective communication and project management.
- Oversee site drilling and testing works, ensuring performance meets the company's time, quality, and safety standards.
- Implement and maintain accurate logging of site and laboratory activities in accordance with BS5930.
- Implement group/business safety procedures on site and record non-conformances to identify areas for improvement.
- Support the management of field engineering activities to obtain investigative data in accordance with good practice and project obligations.
- Organise and label samples efficiently to support laboratory testing.
- Provide lab support when necessary, including construction validation testing activities.
- Undertake first-stage checking and validation of ground investigation reports, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Degree in geotechnical or civil engineering.
- +3 years postgraduate experience.
- +3 years of site works experience and +2 years of reporting experience.
- Progression towards membership of a professional body.
- Strong teamworking capabilities and ability to work under pressure.
