Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Groundworker to join Blue Octopus in Basildon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of technical service tasks, including communal paving, road working, flagging, and fencing within a social housing setting.

About the Role

As a Groundworker, you will be responsible for managing all tools and equipment necessary for ground and building works, ensuring that materials are ready prior to undertaking any tasks. You will receive and complete assigned tasks using a mobile device, working efficiently and safely in line with best practice to achieve excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out technical service tasks, including communal paving, road working, flagging, and fencing
  • Manage all tools and equipment necessary for ground and building works
  • Ensure materials are ready prior to undertaking any tasks
  • Receive and complete assigned tasks using a mobile device
  • Work efficiently and safely in line with best practice

Requirements

Candidates will have previous experience as a Groundworker, with brickwork experience and drainage knowledge, ideally within the construction industry. A Level 2 NVQ or a City and Guilds qualification is required, as well as a CSCS Blue Skilled Worker card and a valid full UK driving licence for a minimum of 12 months. PASMA qualifications are highly desirable.
