The Cleaning Operative will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the cleaning team, ensuring the efficient management of waste and maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Waste Management: Collect and dispose of waste from various sources, including retailers, food and beverage outlets, and mall bins.
- Compactor Use and Segregation: Operate compactors and ensure proper waste segregation to maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Bin Maintenance: Empty and clean bins regularly to prevent overflow and maintain a hygienic environment.
- Equipment Re-stocking: Replenish cleaning equipment and supplies as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- PDA System Utilization: Use the PDA system to assist with scheduled cleaning tasks, accident and incident control, and other related duties.
- Health and Safety: Ensure all work is carried out in a safe, proper, and thorough manner, adhering to Health and Safety legislation, OCS policies, and procedures.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client and staff information.
- Reporting and Maintenance: Report any equipment in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate personnel and maintain a good relationship with stores.
- Cleaning Standards and Regulations: Familiarize yourself with the required cleaning standards and regulations governing your job role.
- Communication and Teamwork: Maintain polite and good communication with colleagues, brand partners, and shoppers at all times.
- Training and Development: Be prepared to receive and undertake further training as required.
- Additional Duties: Assist with other cleaning and site duties as needed.
