Job Title:
County Adviser for Northumberland and North Durham Region - Part Time, Job Share

Salary:
£24,600 per annum, based on a full-time equivalent of £41,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience) plus car allowance

Location:
Home-based, covering Northumberland and North Durham within the North region
Working Hours: 21 hours per week

Contract Type:
Permanent

Purpose of the Role:
The Northumberland and North Durham Region Adviser will provide expert guidance and support to farmers and agricultural businesses in the region, focusing on best practices, innovation, and sustainability. This role will be key in helping farmers achieve their goals and contribute to the region's agricultural success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to farmers and agricultural businesses on best practices, innovation, and sustainability.
  • Work closely with farmers, agricultural businesses, and other stakeholders to identify and address challenges and opportunities in the region.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote sustainable agriculture and support farmers in achieving their goals.
  • Collaborate with other regional advisers and experts to share knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:
  • Proven expertise in farming and agricultural practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the Northumberland and North Durham region and its agricultural landscape.
