King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Visual Assessment Technician to join our Ophthalmology team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for conducting visual assessments and providing high-quality patient care.

About the Role

This permanent position involves working 8am-6pm, including one Saturday and one Sunday shift per month. You will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues and contribute to the efficient running of our clinics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual acuity assessments using advanced equipment
  • Perform visual field assessments to diagnose and monitor eye conditions
  • Measure spectacles using automated focimeters
  • Assist in intravitreal injections and cross-linking services
  • Use electronic patient record management systems to document patient information

Salary: £38,890 - £44,884 per annum (dependent on experience)

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent ophthalmology qualification
  • Enhanced ophthalmic imaging techniques (OVS) qualification
  • Care Certificate
  • Experience in undertaking advanced ophthalmic diagnostic investigations
