About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic school in the heart of Islington. As a key member of our SEN team, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.

This is a full-time, long-term role that offers you the chance to work closely with an experienced SEN team, providing individualized support to students and helping them engage with the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to students with Autism, ADHD, and other needs, helping them engage with the curriculum.
  • Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviours and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Work with the SEN team and teachers to create and follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Help the class teacher with activities, prepare materials, and support group work for all students.
Requirements
  • CACHE Level 3 or equivalent qualifications (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, and other special needs.
  • A caring and patient individual who can build strong, trusting relationships with students.
  • Ability to work 1:1 or in small groups, adapting your approach to suit each child's needs.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for education.
