Transport and Distribution Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport and Distribution Manager to lead our transport operations, reporting to the Operations Director North. This is a unionised environment.

As Transport and Distribution Manager, you will oversee the transport operations of our business, responsible for a team of 35 drivers and 85 warehouse operatives. Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with O License and VOSA requirements, implementing new systems and procedures as needed.

You will also be responsible for liaising with customers on service delivery matters, ensuring their expectations are met. To succeed in this role, you will need to be a versatile and adaptable individual with substantial experience in a transport manager role, preferably with additional knowledge or experience in warehouse management.

Effective communication skills are essential, and experience working in a family business or SME environment will be an advantage. A current CPC (national or international) is required.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful and established family business in a senior leadership position.
