Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in specialist SEMH schools or SEN schools with pupils who have Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) in Kirklees.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored support to meet each student's unique needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to support each student's development.
- Demonstrate patience and understanding in challenging situations.
- Proven experience working with students with SEMH and EBSA in the UK.
- Strong understanding of de-escalation and calming techniques.
- A proactive and caring attitude.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competitive daily rate of £90 - £115, depending on experience.
- £350 reward for every successful referral (T's & C's apply).
