R&D Tax Relief Specialist

We're seeking an experienced R&D Tax Relief Specialist to join our team at BDO UK. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the preparation of technical and financial assessments for R&D tax relief claims. You will work closely with clients across various industry sectors, identifying R&D projects and expenditure through technical and financial discussions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the preparation of technical and financial assessments for R&D tax relief claims
- Identify R&D projects and expenditure through participation in technical and financial discussions with clients
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions
- Collaborate with the Innovation & Technology Group to deliver R&D tax relief services
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance and optimal tax relief claims
- Proven experience in R&D tax relief services or industry equivalent
- Strong technical and financial skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide clear recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Degree-level qualification, preferably in a relevant field such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM)
- Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification, or equivalent
