Rail Operations Manager

Ground Control is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Manager to join our Specialist Access Team (SAT) in the Rail business.
The main aim of this role is to manage and deliver operational rope access contracts and operations profitably and efficiently.
You will be responsible for managing operational contracts, overseeing the safe and efficient delivery of rope access operations, and leading and motivating our teams to ensure adherence to industry safety standards and company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver operational rope access contracts and operations profitably and efficiently.
- Be responsible for your own P&L and budgets across the team.
- Develop, document, and maintain operational policies, processes, and procedures.
- Lead and motivate our teams to ensure adherence to industry safety standards and company guidelines.
- Conduct site safety visits to ensure compliance and best practices are followed.
- Collaborate with the HQSE team to align activities with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare risk assessments and method statements for operational activities.
- Participate in internal audits, incident investigations, and safety inspections.
- Maintain high professional standards and foster a positive team culture.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Contract Manager ideally within the Rail industry.
- Understanding of working at height (WAH) management.
- Minimum of Rope Access Level 1.
- Strong management experience of both contracts and people.
- Great track record of delivering successful operational Rail contracts, including full P&L responsibility.
- Strong client management experience.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Some but not all of the following tickets: I.O.S.H, N.E.B.O.S.H, I.O.S.H, Emergency First Aid at Work, I.O.S.H, C.I.T.B, Sentinel, C&G N.P.T.C.
