Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Gas Engineer with strong plumbing skills to join our team at Red King Resourcing. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing gas systems, as well as carrying out various plumbing duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and Maintain Gas Appliances: Ensure the safe and efficient installation of gas appliances, central heating systems, and associated equipment.
  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Diagnose and repair faults in gas and heating systems, ensuring compliance with current safety regulations.
  • Perform General Plumbing Tasks: Carry out general plumbing tasks, including pipework, fittings, and drainage systems.
  • Conduct Routine Inspections: Conduct routine inspections and safety checks on gas and plumbing systems.
  • Provide Expert Advice: Provide expert advice to customers regarding energy efficiency, heating options, and plumbing solutions.
  • Keep Accurate Records: Keep accurate records of work completed, including safety certificates and maintenance reports.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, Gas Safe regulations, and company policies.
  • Respond to Emergency Call-outs: Respond to emergency call-outs for gas leaks, heating failures, and plumbing issues.
  • Liaise with Clients: Liaise with clients and provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Gas Safe Registration: Must be Gas Safe Registered (mandatory).
  • Plumbing and Heating Qualifications: NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent).
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a Gas Engineer with strong plumbing skills.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Up-to-date knowledge of current gas and safety regulations.
  • Boiler and Central Heating Experience: Experience in installing and maintaining boilers, central heating systems, and gas appliances.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and customer service skills.
