Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Management Office Lead to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our Transformation community, you will be responsible for overseeing and assuring the delivery of our UKGI portfolio of change, which typically totals over £100m annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to our PMO team, ensuring the provision of a high-quality service to programmes in line with proportionate governance.
- Use portfolio data and your knowledge and experience to provide insight into overall performance, identifying key themes across areas such as resourcing, risks, and dependencies.
- Challenging process inefficiencies and/or underperformance, and recommending actions to address.
- Leading a team of PMO professionals, ensuring the efficient deployment of resources to the most critical and strategic deliveries.
- Driving the continued embedment of PPM tooling into the area, and taking accountability for ensuring we get the required value and efficiency from the tool.
Requirements:
- Financial Services industry experience and ability to understand customer, commercial, and people measures and metrics.
- Proven team leader with good people management experience.
- Good awareness of risk, control, and governance requirements, and ideally have worked in a highly regulated environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships with both peers and senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of change delivery methodologies and frameworks, including Planview or similar PPM tool knowledge.

- Starting salary between £60,000 and £80,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
