We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our client's team as a Lead Test Camera Platform Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a world-leading company in the scientific and satellite/space industries, developing cutting-edge products for the space industry.

About the Role

As a Lead Test Camera Platform Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the development of Space Imaging Test Camera platforms used for operating and testing Imaging Sensors. This is a technical role that combines systems engineering and technical leadership, requiring a multidisciplinary engineer to manage the test system engineering management plan, requirements management, and CVM for the systems, as well as running the project lifecycle gate reviews.

  • Lead delivery of internally designed test camera platforms
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams of engineers and utilize project management techniques to deliver work packages for the project
  • Provide engineering governance through the project life cycle
  • Ownership, maintenance & delivery of the Engineering Management Plan
  • Management of the requirements, including maintaining compliance and verification matrix
  • Manage technical risk/opportunities and their mitigation/capture activities
  • Ensure configuration control is followed
  • Scheduling of projects in Microsoft Project
  • Budgetary management
  • Parts procurement

About the Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £90,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
