Senior Marine Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Marine Underwriter to join our team at Aviva Marine. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will play a critical role in the continued success and growth of our Marine business.

• Ensure allocated business is in line with plan requirements for all Marine business written and renewed.
• Deliver volume, quality, and profitability of growth opportunities to the Line of Business, enabling them to hit their plan targets.
• Build relationships with brokers and customers, both internally and externally, as necessary.
• Perform and develop risks assigned to you, in accordance with plan metrics, including GWP, NWP, Loss Ratio, Expense Ratio, and Combined Ratio, and rate achievement.
• Exercise case-by-case judgment to ensure overall strategy and governance targets are met.

• Experience in underwriting and handling cargo and freight liability business.
• Proven record of underwriting a portfolio, including understanding metrics required to monitor such a portfolio.
• Well-regarded by brokers, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Results-oriented.
• Ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
