Strategic Communications Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Manager to join our team at the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) in Liverpool. As a key member of our External Affairs and Policy & Campaigns teams, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering impactful external media and communications campaigns that align with our mission of advancing healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Coordination: Support and deliver strategic campaigns and projects that raise awareness of RCP's work and influence health policy.
- Content Creation: Develop press releases, op-eds, social media posts, and website content to communicate RCP's work effectively.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track media mentions, evaluate campaign success, and prepare reports for senior leadership.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all communications align with the RCP's brand and messaging.
About You
- Proven experience in a communications role, preferably within healthcare or a non-profit organisation.
- Strong skills in social media and digital communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- A degree in communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Experience in healthcare or public health communications.
