Senior/Principal Ecologist Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior or Principal Ecologist to join our team at Greenbridge Recruitment in Exeter. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for birds or bats to work on a diverse range of ecological projects.

About the Role:

This consultancy offers a unique chance to work as part of a close-knit team, conducting surveys, writing reports, and managing projects within a positive and collaborative work environment. You will be working closely with clients to provide technical advice and ensure high-quality services.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in UK ecology consultancy
  • Specialism in either birds or bats
  • Fully competent in survey skills and report writing, including habitats and protected species surveys
  • In-depth knowledge of wildlife legislation and the planning system
  • Able to communicate complex ecological concepts effectively
  • A client-focused approach with a good understanding of commercial project elements
  • Member of CIEEM
  • Full driving license and eligibility to live and work in the UK
