Bookkeeper - Accountancy Practice

Lloyd Recruitment Services Ltd is partnering with a leading accountancy practice in East Grinstead to find a skilled Bookkeeper with practice experience for a part-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit statutory year-end accounts from complete and incomplete records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle business tax computations and personal tax returns, providing expert advice and support.
  • Oversee and submit quarterly VAT and monthly CIS returns, maintaining up-to-date records and management information.
  • Manage client queries related to VAT, CIS, and personal tax, providing clear and concise guidance.
  • Maintain and update financial systems, including Iris, Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Supervise bookkeeping tasks for junior colleagues, providing training and support to ensure high-quality work.
  • Assist with new client setup and onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition and excellent client service.
  • Attend relevant training seminars to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Draft regulatory email updates for clients, providing clear and concise information on changes and updates.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years' experience in an accountancy practice
  • AAT qualification
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
