We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to join our Public Health and Community Safety Service as a Support Apprentice.

As part of this role, you will be supported through the Level 3 Business Administrator - Advanced Apprenticeship at Petroc College.

You will gain knowledge of and support all areas of the service, including licensing, food safety, Environmental Protection, and Housing Renewal.

Working predominantly with the Licensing Team, you will advise potential applicants about the licence they require and the application process.

You will be responsible for checking, processing, taking payments, issuing new licences, and renewing existing licenses.

This role involves working with a range of licence enquiries, including premises licenses, temporary event notices, taxi licensing, animal boarding, dog breeding, horse riding, and pet shops.

We are looking for someone with an appetite for learning and a passion for customer service.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a role that makes a real difference to the community in Torridge and the smooth functioning of a multi-disciplinary team.
