Nurse Consultant Position

The Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Consultant to join our team. As a senior clinician, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical practice, professional leadership, and consultancy to our community mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical practice, including training and taking on the Responsible Clinician role in practice.
- Lead in extending boundaries and creating frameworks for the enhancement of nursing within your specialty.
- Contribute to the strategic direction for the development of nursing practice within Community Mental Health services.
- Provide education, training, and development of staff, and other agencies, statutory and non-statutory in management and treatment services for people presenting to the community services.
- Research into various aspects of service provision and service evaluation which involves this client group.

Person Specification
Essential
- First level Registered Nurse
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Postgraduate qualification at Masters level or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of experience in therapeutic interventions relevant to specialty, nurse Prescribing, CBT, DBT, PSI, EFT, NLP and Family Interventions, Group work
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Extensive experience of working within areas relevant to designated team.
- Experience of working therapeutically with adults of all ages
- Substantial experience in a nursing leadership role
- Have led service development changes, awareness of the evolving healthcare agenda and the implications for nursing.
- Experience of research and development into practice
- Evidence of facilitating quality improvement in practice
- Knowledge of clinical governance issues
- Experience of training and education / lecturing within higher education field
