Job Opportunity

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker and Best Interest Assessor to join the Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to Adult at Risk reports and conduct DoLS assessments for Bridgend County Borough Council and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to support individuals in line with the Social Services & Well Being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
  • Provide a robust induction, regular supervision, and additional support and mentoring where required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience as a Social Worker.
  • Ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh.
  • Criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) and vetting check by South Wales Police are required.
  • A valid driving licence is required.
