Job Title: Recovery Coordinator

Location: South Birmingham

Hours: 37/ Monday - Friday

Job Type: Temp to perm

Hourly Rate: £15 - £17 PAYE (£17 - £20 UMBRELLA)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support service users through their treatment and recovery journey
  • Provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral
  • Undertake co-location partnership work to engage service users
  • Offer assertive follow-up and increased retention and establish links with partner agencies
  • Provide flexible assertive outreach support to engage service users into treatment across the Birmingham locality
  • Identify barriers into treatment and work on creating and delivering solutions
  • Support social (re)integration, enabling service users to lead meaningful and purposeful lives
  • Research, design, and prepare subject matter and materials for groups/pods
  • Deliver structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recovery
  • Engage with debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitators after groups/pods have taken place

About You:

  • Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
  • Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics
  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
  • Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
  • Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
  • Understand the importance of information governance processes
  • Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills
