About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Officer to join our team. As a Contract Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of contracts and agreements with external partners.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and progress all criminal cases identified for case management from first appearance to disposal, ensuring trials proceed to completion without delay.
- Assist in the delivery of performance against targets.
- Manage the deployment of listing resources and work to achieve the most effective/efficient use of resources, by setting team priorities and objectives so that performance targets are met.
- Maintain the court diary system, controlling and co-ordinating the allocation of work to courtrooms to secure optimum use of resources while minimising delay and wasted time.
- Conduct ongoing reviews of procedures and work practices and manage the implementation of new initiatives and legislation.
- Effectively manage both team and individual performance, addressing any issues as they arise in line with HR policies.
- Provide feedback to staff, judiciary and other stakeholders on performance measures and targets.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Proficient IT and Microsoft Software packages skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a flexible way and undertake any other duties reasonably requested by line management.
