We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Buffalo Rock Company. As a key member of our Central Hub, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of inventory, receiving, and shipping operations.
Key Responsibilities- Process and verify inbound product matching to BOLs, verifying dates of product to prevent short-dated issues, and verifying outbound pallets through the Vertique system.
- Load product from the Vertique line and pallet picks onto outbound trailers, complete and verify cycle counts, and analyze inventory reports.
- Maintain proper function of machines through intermediate problem-solving skills and logic, including simple data manipulation.
- Complete daily/weekly/monthly physical inventory counts as needed, investigate and resolve inventory variances, and remove pallets from palletizers and staging areas.
- Utilize VPI to verify inbound appointment requests and schedule inbound POs, and run receiving labels (LBI) to verify receipt versus BOL.
- Handstack top-off cases on pallets, ensuring accuracy and integrity before running through the palletizer, and troubleshoot any palletizer issues while following all safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and building, and make sound decisions and multitask simultaneously without constant supervision.
- Pay attention to detail and differentiate between packages, including understanding package dimensions, descriptions, and SKU numbers.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Program GMPs as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFR 21 section, and participate in various Food Safety related training.
- Continuously improve through knowledge and use of all Buffalo Rock provided training, and successfully complete assigned training curriculum.
- Read and interpret instructions from a computer screen, and perform other assigned duties as needed.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- 3+ years warehouse experience preferred, with intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet Explorer.
- Must have at least 1 year experience with a WMS application, or similar system functionality, and be able to perform receiving, shipping, and inventory control functions within the system.
- Must have 3+ years of forklift experience, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, and prior experience with manual loading and unloading of product in high-volume work environments.
- Experience working in an automated environment, and intermediate proficiency with Personal Computers and basic use of Windows environment required.
- Ability to read product packaging and communicate in English via radio.
Working conditions will require both inside warehouse needs and outside pallet/tray production support, with temperature conditions varying from extreme heat to extreme cold.
Physical DemandsThe position requires physical presence within the Vertique system at the Central Hub, with the ability to lift over 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis, work in a noisy and non-climate-controlled environment, and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
