Ruby / Chef Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Unix / Ruby Chef Engineer to join our dynamic DevOps team at Advanced Resource Managers Ltd. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience coding and managing Inspec baselines and profiles, amending, validating, and testing them in a large-scale environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automation and configuration management processes using Chef Infra, Chef Automate, and Chef Inspec.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code and infrastructure compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in large-scale environments.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience with Unix/Linux environments and Ruby programming.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Chef Infra, Chef Automate, and Chef Inspec.
  • Proven track record of coding, amending, and validating Inspec profiles and baselines.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their integration with Chef.
  • Familiarity with working in an Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with other automation frameworks and tools.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and continuous delivery methodologies.
  • Certifications in Chef, DevOps, or cloud platforms.
