Applications Solutions Specialist

ScottishPower is seeking an experienced Applications Solutions Specialist to join our Energy Networks Centre of Excellence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality applications solutions and providing third-line application support in accordance with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Configure and develop application solutions against design specifications, adhering to agreed standards and procedures.
  2. Complete unit and integration testing of work products, ensuring completion within allocated timescales.
  3. Provide third-line application support as required, in line with agreed SLAs.
  4. Offer technical expertise in systems applications within a nominated domain area.
  5. Liaise with project delivery teams and external contractors to ensure solutions meet specified goals and requirements.
  6. Contribute to business and IT project teams for specific application solution areas.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with a relevant HND or degree-level qualification, supplemented by recognised solution analysis or system design qualifications. You will have a background in applications development and experience delivering IT systems projects.

  • A high-level awareness of IT application development.
  • A broad understanding of integration requirements across a diverse applications portfolio.
  • Experience of design modelling and document management tools.
  • Able to prioritise multiple streams of work.
