We are seeking a seasoned Senior Associate with extensive experience in contentious construction law to join our esteemed client's boutique firm.

Salary: £120,000 - £180,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of PQE as a contentious construction lawyer and a deep understanding of construction and engineering contracts such as JCT, NEC, FIDIC, IChemE, and Logic.

They will be responsible for advising clients on a broad mix of disputes, primarily relating to all forms of JCT and NEC contracts. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, strong time management skills, and strong skills in IT, matter finance, business development, and team working.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing pragmatic legal advice to the construction sector;
  • Representing clients in adjudications, mediations, and litigation;
  • Building strong relationships with clients and colleagues;
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of construction and engineering contracts;

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years+ PQE as a contentious construction lawyer;
  • A detailed understanding of construction and engineering contracts;
  • Experience in providing legal advice to the construction sector;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
