About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Team Leader to join our team at the University of Salford. As a key member of our creative and immersive technologies team, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of technical staff who support programs of study in digital design, web development, games, immersive interfaces, extended reality (XR), and motion capture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of technical staff to provide support for teaching and learning activities, promoting external collaborations and income generation possibilities.
  • Advise on creative processes in digital immersive and interactive technologies, providing guidance to stakeholders on planning, procurement, and use of facilities.
  • Ensure high levels of health and safety compliance within facilities and processes, maintaining appropriate maintenance and security measures.
  • Contribute to the university's thinking on equity disparities, diversity, and inclusion, challenging and transforming the way Salford addresses these issues.
