Environmental Sustainability Specialist

Role Overview
Environment Systems is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to contribute to our team of experts in environmental and agricultural data consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping governments and businesses tackle the pressing challenges posed by climate change and biodiversity decline while optimising environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a forward-thinking team on impactful projects in ecosystem services, environmental resilience, natural capital, and nature-based solutions.
- Use skills in environmental data analysis, GIS and EO to assist providing tangible evidence.
- Manage a diverse range of stimulating projects for both public and private sector clients.
- Contribute to a deeper understanding and documentation of our environment's condition and needs.
- Work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial company and contribute to its accelerated growth.
Requirements
- A strong passion for the natural environment and sustainability, with a knack for problem-solving and negotiation to champion biodiversity.
- Proven experience in delivering projects on time, within budget, managing risks, and ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction.
- A track record of writing or contributing to high-quality reports.
- At least two years of project and resource management experience.
- A degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
- Experience in data modelling using GIS and/or remote sensing techniques.
- A solid understanding of natural capital concepts.
- Knowledge of UK ecology, habitats, and soils.
- Hold, be eligible for, or actively working towards full membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, or be a Chartered Ecologist and/or Chartered Environmentalist.

Salary is competitive on the basis of qualifications and experience, and will form part of a benefits package, including: pension contribution; pro rata 20+ days' annual leave allowance; paid sick leave, death in service benefit.
