About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Systems Officer to join our established Finance team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality computer application support and solutions to complex day-to-day issues, ensuring the smooth operation of our finance and payroll systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and support on the best use of IT applications and their analysis and reporting tools within the finance environment, with emphasis on data quality at all times.
  • Assist with the maintenance and development of the locally developed SQL-based data warehouse for finance and directorate managers.
  • Day-to-day processing of interfaces between SBS Oracle and all its feeder systems, including NHS HR/Payroll, roster, and time and attendance, E-Expenses, and Pharmacy.
  • Day-to-day maintenance of SBS Oracle user security and hierarchy for Livewell.
  • Be a super user for the Business Intelligence offerings from SBS Oracle.
  • Assist in the maintenance of data import mechanisms to SQL using Visual Studio.
  • Assist in the maintenance and development of SQL script routines.
Requirements
  • Proven demonstrable experience in a senior supervisory role within a public sector finance/payroll department.
  • Expert proven knowledge of Windows-based applications.
  • Skilled proven knowledge of a computerized payroll system.
  • Expert demonstrable knowledge of computerized finance systems.
