Job Title: Senior Safety Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Engineer to join our team in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. As a Senior Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking Product Safety Management activities for our aerospace portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assisting the Head of Airworthiness and Safety in the upkeep and monitoring of the aerospace compliant Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring all Product Safety requirements are met in full.
  2. Providing advice on Product Safety matters to Project Teams, ensuring safety requirements are correctly defined, recorded, and met to meet Customer and Regulatory requirements.
  3. Conducting and guiding Safety Management activities, including generating, reviewing, and approving safety documentation.
  4. Representing the Safety department at Customer and Internal Design Reviews.
  5. Encouraging and managing proactive safety reporting within our Just Culture.
  6. Assisting the Head of AW&S in the development and implementation of in-house safety management training across the organisation.
Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of safety engineering in design.
  2. Experience working to Def Stan 00-056 and/or Mil Std 882.
  3. Knowledge of ARP 4754 and ARP 4761.
  4. Significant aviation safety experience.
  5. Experience in working within a Design Organisation.
  6. Advanced report writing skills.
  7. Attention to detail.
  8. Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  9. Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills.
