We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Arthur Rose Recruitment Ltd. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and testing concepts, creating CHD models, and ensuring designs and built systems/components are compliant with relevant legislation/standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the Engineering Director, CTO, and other engineers to develop and test concepts.
  2. Create CHD models for containerised production systems.
  3. Sizing equipment and creating specifications of equipment for vendors.
  4. Creating general assembly drawings.
  5. Performing mechanical stress calculations to ensure correct specifications.
  6. Liaising with vendors.
  7. Managing technicians to help with mechanical fitting of components.
  8. Ensuring designs and built systems/components are compliant with relevant legislation/standards.
  9. Supporting other colleagues in running equipment.
  10. Assisting the engineering team to design, specify, and source components.
Requirements:
  1. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or HNC/HND qualification.
  2. Minimum 3 years working in an engineering design environment.
  3. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment developing first-of-kind technology.
  4. Experience in relevant software packages for drawings creation and management (e.g. SolidWorks and AutoCAD).
The Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000, pension contributions, holiday entitlement, share option plan, and full health care plan provided by Aviva.
