Deputy Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Mansell Consulting Group Ltd. As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in the overall management of the restaurant, including staff supervision, customer service, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the General Manager in the overall management of the restaurant, including staff supervision, customer service, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead by example in providing excellent customer service, ensuring that all guests receive a warm welcome and exceptional dining experiences.
  • Supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, reservation management, and table seating arrangements.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues and exceed guest expectations.
  • Monitor restaurant cleanliness and appearance, conducting regular inspections and coordinating with staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and managing costs to ensure profitability while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies to drive sales, increase customer satisfaction, and enhance overall restaurant performance.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, and ensure compliance among staff members.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a hospitality management role, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house procedures, reservation systems, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the business.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
