Electronics Engineer Opportunity

Avon Protection is seeking an Electronics Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative solutions for the underwater systems engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide electronic engineering support for the maintenance and development of diving and life support systems under the guidance of the Senior Electronics Engineer.
  • Design, test, and document printed circuit boards, including schematic entry and PCB design.
  • Liaise with software, management, and mechanical teams to ensure system requirements and physical constraints are met.
  • Assist with production support, fault finding, and sourcing electronic components.
  • Manage the supply of electronic components, including finding alternatives for hard-to-source or obsolete components.
  • Contribute to the generation of project plans and costings.
  • Assist with risk and failure mode analysis and configuration control.
  • Develop new business opportunities and collaborate with other engineering disciplines and internal customers to establish product specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest electronic engineering processes and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Good degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • PCB design and layout skills (analog and digital).
  • Ability to travel locally to support UK engineering teams.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software tools.
  • Knowledge of marine or underwater systems and practical engineering skills.
