As a Trainee Technician Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from design and build to evaluation and calibration of electronic systems used for testing in the railway environment. You will also assist in the installation and operation of these systems on railway vehicles and infrastructure, as well as process recorded data and produce test reports for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, build, evaluation, calibration, and documentation of electronic systems used for testing in the railway environment.
  • Assist in the installation and operation of these systems on railway vehicles and infrastructure.
  • Process recorded data and produce test reports for customers.
  • Attend any training courses deemed necessary by the Principal Engineer.

Requirements:

  • Numerate, accurate, with a good level of literacy (minimum GCSE grade 4 in English and Mathematics).
  • A keen interest in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team or autonomously, as required.
  • Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to work non-office hours and in remote locations on occasions.
