Job Title: Design and Technology/Art TeacherJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design and Technology/Art Teacher to join our team at Protocol Education. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in Design and Technology and Art to students, fostering a supportive and creative learning environment that encourages innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality lessons in Design and Technology and Art, catering to the diverse needs of students
  • Nurture a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their growth and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and teaching strategies, ensuring a cohesive and effective learning experience for students
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events, contributing to the overall success and well-being of the school community
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Bachelor's degree in Education, Design and Technology, Art, or a related field
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology and/or Art in a secondary school setting, with a proven track record of success and student achievement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or a relevant subject area
  • Experience with project-based learning and creative teaching methods, with a focus on student-centered and inquiry-based approaches
  • Experience working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, with a deep understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
Working Conditions:

This role involves collaborating with students and colleagues in a secondary school environment, with full-time hours and occasional participation in school events and meetings. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role, and will be subject to safeguarding checks and clearance.
