Senior Project Planner Role

M Marshall, an independent and family-owned British company, seeks a Senior Project Planner to deliver integrated project planning and scheduling activities across a programme. The successful candidate will create and maintain integrated schedules, provide project planning reports, and metrics.

The role involves fostering a collaborative matrix-managed environment, working with engineering, procurement, supply-chain, and production departments to encourage operational effectiveness of Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).

The ideal candidate will have experience in 'front line' project planning roles, preferably in the defence domain, undertaking planning and scheduling within one or a combination of Bids, Projects, and/or Programmes. They should possess subject matter expertise in project planning tools and techniques, including cost control, Integrated Baseline Planning (IBP), Supply-Chain schedule integration, and risk & opportunity management.

A key responsibility of this role is to undertake the planning and scheduling of various projects within the programme, developing project plans and schedules. The successful candidate will also monitor project progress, identifying bottlenecks, and report proactive measures to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in the defence domain.
  • Subject matter expertise in project planning tools and techniques, including cost control, IBP, Supply-Chain schedule integration, and risk & opportunity management.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative matrix-managed environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
